Jul 16, 2019 08:00 PM Rocket Garden
Join iconic British rock band, Duran Duran, in the Rocket Garden at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex for a once-in-a-lifetime concert celebrating the historic Apollo 11 launch. Doors open at 8:00 PM, followed by a set from DJ Evalicious. Duran Duran will begin a full performance at 10:30 PM. For this special tribute, part of their set will accompanied by a breathtaking drone art performance by Studio Drift.
Formed in Birmingham, England as punk, glam rock, and art-pop gave way to a new and exciting genre of music, Duran Duran quickly became a household name around the world. Four decades later, the multi-platinum, two-time GRAMMY award-winners have sold over 100 million records, had 18 American hit singles, 20 UK chart toppers, won innumerable awards for their continued contribution to music and consistently perform to huge concert audiences around the globe.
Concert tickets are $300 and include parking. Ticket offers admission to the concert only and does not permit early admission to the visitor complex.
Various food trucks will be on site, and beer and wine will be available for purchase. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets for the grass lawn, but no chairs of any kind will be permitted. The World's Largest Space Shop will remain open, but all other attractions and exhibits will be closed for the duration of the concert.
A portion of the proceeds from the concert will support the STEAM education programs of the non-profit Aldrin Family Foundation.
